Sticky Honey and Hoisin Beef Ribs

This lovely tender and sticky rib recipe emerged from our farms beef ribs plus making do with what we had in the fridge and pantry.

For a "make do" recipe the Junior Farmers "uhmmmm" sounds after the first bite, tells just how good these sticky and tender ribs with a crunchy coleslaw on a good bread roll really are.

I love my Instant Pot.

It is an electric pressure cooker. It does slow cooking, fast. Which can be super helpful in making comfort cuts super tender and delicious on a week night with after school commitments.

I also love that the bowl in the Instant Pot is stainless steel. For easy washing and a food safe cooking surface.

This recipe also could be used in a slow cooker Leaving the ribs to gently simmer away for the day. 6- 8 hours on high. Then complete the basting and oven cooking steps just before serving up a delicious dinner.

Can I let you know something?

I am new at cooking beef ribs. I’m not quite sure why.

But it is just not really a cut that I have ever really had experience in cooking. However I did know enough about ribs, to know they need to be cooked low and slow.

Our fridge and pantry supplies where on the run down. So I just tried to create a sticky and tender beef rib dish (like I had seen on a telly cooking show before) with what I had on hand.

Some of my cooking experiments are not worth repeating.

However these delicious beef ribs is definitely going on our family meal rotation. Soo good! So tender! So sticky! So delicious!

I might even try this recipe with some other comfort cuts, like beef sliced round, and lamb forequarter chops. I think that would be delicious too.
