Grass Fed Lamb Testimonial

From our Customer Pamela

“Wow doesn't even begin to describe the flavor of these loin chops. Both Tony, and I can say it tastes like no other lamb we've ever eaten, bar none. Absolutely delicious, and so tender! I even joked with him that perhaps what we've been being sold as lamb is either REALLY old lamb or even mutton! This has a lovely fresh taste, no gamey, lamb-y taste that we usually have from any lamb from the supermarket, and even many butchers”

Grass Fed Beef Testimonial

“I have to date only eaten a pack of T-Bone, a fillet steak and a pack of sausages, and I am super impressed, and looking forward to eating more.

The fillet steak was probably the best steak I have ever eaten, the T-bones was super tender and a lovely flavour, and the sausages were lean, and very nice.

The kids are very fussy with their sausages and they loved them too.”

What does Grass Fed look like on our Farm?

Free Grazing

Grass Fed on our farm looks like cows free grazing on grass and pasture on our farm at Rockleigh in the Adelaide Hills.

Our cows and lambs are bred, born and raised living it's whole life on our farm;  grazing in our generous sized paddocks, grazing under gums, among rocky outcrops and along natural creek lines.

Our lambs feed from milk off their Mums and as well as grass and pasture in our generous sized paddocks. Through until spring and early summer.

We offer Hay

During summer or when our feed levels reduce, we offer hay to our cows.

We time our lambing season for late autumn. This is when the opening rains have arrived brought with it the green feed for our animals. This is why a farmers life revolves around rain and the hope of rain coming. Rain is the life blood of the land. Upon which planning and hope for the coming years season rests.
