Our second lamb delivery run for 2024 will be delivered in the week of the 21st of October.

Our Adelaide Hills Grass Fed Spring Lamb [Spit] is delivered to your doorstep, all ready for your special occassion. You can feel confident that the succulent flavour of the lamb from our family farm. Your spit roast will be remembered by your family and friends for many years to come.

Our Adelaide Hills Spring Lamb Box [Spit] is sold by dressed weight of 23kg.

Your lamb will be delivered by refrigerated transport to your doorstep, in the Adelaide Hills and Adelaide Metro area. 

We are 5th Generation Farmers at Rockleigh in the Adelaide Hills.  Peppermint Ridge Farm Co White Suffolk cross bred lambs are bred, born, raised and grown on our Adelaide Hills family farm at Rockleigh in the Adelaide Hills. Our sheep and lambs graze on our pastures and are free to graze across our generous sized paddocks. To ensure the health of our animals and sufficient feed, there may be some supplementary feeding of hay.   

Our White Suffolk cross bred lambs are transported a short distance (less than 30km) from our family farm at Rockleigh to our Adelaide Hills processing partner. This ensures a low-stress experience for our lambs, which ensures optimal tenderness and eating quality.

Our lambs have been born and raised in open paddocks on milk with their Mum’s, grazing in our open paddocks, pastures and offered supplemented with hay only.

The lambs Mum’s (ewes) have been in open paddocks, grazing on our pastures and offered supplmenetary hay. Our ewes have been offered legumes and some grain across the months when feed supply reduces. The ewes are returned to grazing grass and pastures along with hay, after autumn rains increase grass and pastures in our paddocks.

Providing clear information is important to us. Our lambs have been raised in open paddocks with their Mum’s feeding on their milk and grazing on grass and pasture,

Your Adelaide Hills Spring Lamb [Spit] is delivered by Peppermint Ridge Farm Co in refrigerated transport to your doorstep in Adelaide Hills and Adelaide Metro. 

Purchasing meat farm direct is a little different to purchasing meat from your local supermarket or butchers shop.

It is slow food. There is time between your purchase and delivery. In this time the following processes need to occur; booking the animal for the next available processing time slot, processing, hanging time, butchering and packaging. These processes can take between two and six weeks, depending on seasonal demand for processing time slots. As a general rule, I would expect customers to receive their meat delivery in about one month from ordering.
