Beef Burgers are a 100% winner with our family! I don’t claim to be a Master Chef! They are simple recipes, which can be whipped up with almost zero brain power at the end of a day full of family, homemaking, work and after school commitments.

Serving up Grass Fed Beef Burgers to our family, I can guarantee that all family members will leave the dinner table nourished and happy after a favourite meal quietly enjoyed. Isn’t that every parents dream at tea time.

So give some of our simple Grass Fed Beef Burger recipes a go!

Miss Farmers Burger

This is the best burger I have ever eaten! Why? It was made with our own Beef, on a soft roll from Lobethal Bakery, by my eldest! Food always tastes better when it is made with love by someone else! Especially so, when then wonderful burger was waiting for me when I arrived home after an afternoon of delivering beef boxes to our lovely customers!

Prep Time 5 minutes. Cook Time 10 minutes. Serves 4.

Ingredients

4 Beef Burgers [from our Adelaide Hills Black Angus Beef Box]

4 Soft Rolls from Lobethal Bakery

Tomato, sliced

Lettuce, washed

Sliced Cheese

Tomato Sauce

Whole Egg Mayo

Method

Cook the burgers on the BBQ.

Serve burgers on a Soft Roll with Tomato Sauce on the bottom bun, layered with tomato, lettuce, sliced cheese and may on the top bun.

Happy Days!

Easy Burgers

These Easy Burgers are 100% Kid Approved in our house! They are requested on the regular. A whole burger, bun, salad and cheese was eaten by both Junior Farmer for tea this week. This is nothing short of a Christmas Miracle, with the recent critical reviews on my meals served up any time of the day or night!
The burgers were also taken cold to school the next day for a packed lunch.

Here is the recipe from our local kindy recipe book:
This recipe can be enjoyed on a crusty roll with your favourite salad toppings or on it's own with a side of veg.
I switch the chicken noodle soup for 2 tsp of chicken stock and often add dried italian herbs. We add whatever veg (grated) we have on hand and they always turn out great!

Prep 10m. Cook 20m. Serves 4.

Ingredients
500g Beef Mince
1 packet chicken noodle soup
1 onion, finely diced
2 eggs, beaten
1 large carrot, grated
Parsley, finely chopped
1c self-raising flour
1/2c milk
1/2c water

4 Bread Rolls

Tomato, Sliced

Lettuce, Washed

Sliced Cheese

Whole Egg Mayo

Tomato Sauce

Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix until thoroughly combined.
Oil a frying pan or BBQ plate.
Drop generous spoon fulls of mixture on and cook through.
Drain on paper or kitchen towel.
Serve on roll with lettuce, tomato, sliced cheese, mayo and tomato sauce.

Enjoy!

Grass Fed Smash Burger

The Smash Burger is easier than the Easy Burger Recipe!

It is simply our Grass Fed Beef Mince rolled in a ball, and squashed on an oiled and pre-heated BBQ or frying pan.

Prep Time 5 minutes. Cook Time 10 minutes. Serves 4.

Ingredients

500g Beef Mince

Salt

Pepper

4 Lobethal Bakery Soft Rolls

Master Foods Burger Relish

Large Tomato, thinly sliced

Lettuce, washed

Sliced Cheese

Whole Egg Mayonaise

Method

Oil BBQ or Frying Pan and preheat.

Mix mince with a little salt and pepper.

Roll mince into 4 equal balls. When BBQ or Pan is preheated, put the balls on the hot plate or pan and gently squash down to your preferred thickness. I find a potato masher or large egg flip helpful for this.

Cook until the meat appears to be cooked halfway up the burger. Flip and repeat.

Serve the cooked burger on a roll, with Master Foods Burger Relish on the bottom, tomato, lettuce, cheese and mayo on the top bun.

I was inspired by the Farmer to Fridge Win Meat and Chat Group Burger Photo Competition for this weeks group Prize.
Thursday nights had been a bit of a flop on our weekly meals and it came to me that burgers would be a perfect Thursday Night Meal Theme. They are a winner with the family and require zero brain power on my part!
So starting tonight we began with a Grass Fed Beef Smash Burger. On the old favourite Lobethal Bakery soft roll, with MasterFoods Burger Relish on the bottom, tomato, cheese, lettuce and mayo.

I’m looking for inspiration for future weeks, with beef or lamb, as lets face it, that is what we have in our freezer! Family friendly of course. What do you suggest? Email me here peppermintridgefarmco@gmail.com
